How does staking work in Regular Protocol?

To start staking all you need to do is deposit your REG token to the REG staking contract. Once done you will start earning a pro rata share of the borrowing and redemption fees in RUSD and BNB.

How much will my staked REG earn?

Your REG stake will earn a share of the fees equal to your share of the total REG staked, at the instant the fee occurred.

Is there a lock-up period?

No, you can withdraw your staked REG token at any time, but if you provide REG-RUSD LP to Time-weighted staking, you need to wait until the locking period is matured.

Are staked REG tokens used to backstop the system (like Maker) when liquidation mechanism doesn't work?

No, staked REG are not used to backstop the Regular Protocol system.
